ASI Baby Changing Stations

ASI (American Specialties) baby changing stations come in horizontal and vertical orientations, plastic, plastic/stainless, and all-stainless constructions, and recessed or surface mounting. Choose orientation by available wall width, construction by durability and appearance needs, and mounting by wall depth. Choosing an ASI Baby Changing Station

Horizontal or Vertical

Horizontal units such as the ASI 9014, 9018, 9022, 9024-41, and 9026-41 open across the wall and suit restrooms with a wide clear wall section. Vertical units such as the ASI 9015 and 9017 fold down from a taller, narrower footprint, which helps in single-user restrooms or between fixtures where width is limited. Either way, plan for the clear floor space needed in front of the open bed so it does not block a door swing or accessible route.

Recessed or Surface Mounted

Recessed stainless models (ASI 9013, 9017, 9018, 9018-41) sit largely within the wall, reducing projection when the bed is closed. They require a coordinated wall opening, so they fit new construction or a planned renovation best. Surface-mounted versions (ASI 9012, 9013-9, 9017-9, 9018-9, 9018-9-41, and the plastic models) mount to the finished wall and are the practical choice for retrofits. Confirm that blocking or backing in the wall is adequate for a load-bearing fixture.

Universal Changing Station

The ASI 9060 Universal Changing Station is motorized and height adjustable. It serves a different need than a standard baby changing station; check the product spec sheet for power, wall, and clearance requirements and plan it with the facility's electrical and accessibility drawings.

Maintenance

Liner supply, cleaning of the bed surface, and checking hinges and safety straps belong on the restroom cleaning routine. Matching material to traffic level helps keep upkeep predictable.
