ASI Waste Receptacles

ASI (American Specialties) waste receptacles include surface-mounted, semi-recessed, recessed, corner, countertop chute, and free-standing styles, plus sanitary napkin disposals and combined towel-and-waste cabinets. Size by traffic and service frequency, then match the mounting style to wall depth and floor space. Collections include Traditional, Simplicity, Roval, and Piatto, with stainless steel, matte black, and phenolic door options in select models.

Wall-Mounted, Recessed, or Free-Standing

  • Surface-mounted and corner receptacles such as the ASI 0826, 0827, 0828, and corner-type 0829 install on a finished wall and keep floors clear for cleaning.
  • Semi-recessed and recessed receptacles from the Traditional, Simplicity, Roval, and Piatto collections reduce projection but need a planned wall opening. The Piatto 6474 is completely recessed with a white (-00) or matte black (-41) phenolic door.
  • Countertop waste chutes such as the ASI 1000 route towels through the vanity into a container below, keeping the floor and wall open. They require a counter cutout and under-counter space.
  • Free-standing receptacles, including open, top-included, dual swing top, and foot pedal models, move where needed and suit lobbies, breakrooms, and locker rooms. A free-standing 3-bin recycling station is also available.

Sizing for Service Frequency

Capacities in this category range from small units for stalls and vanities to larger wall and floor receptacles. Choose capacity by peak traffic and how often custodial staff can empty the unit; a receptacle that overflows between rounds creates more cleanup than a larger unit. Free-standing models such as the ASI 0810 and 0811 (14 gallon) and 0812 and 0813 (19 gallon) let you choose a top-included or open version at the same size.

Sanitary Napkin Disposal

Stall disposals are offered as surface-mounted, recessed, and partition-mounted dual access units serving two stalls, with locking versions available (such as the ASI 0472-1 and 0473-1). Roval and Simplicity versions are also included. Partition-mounted units must be coordinated with the toilet partition layout. More options are on the feminine hygiene and sanitary page.

Combined Towel and Waste Units

If a restroom needs both paper towels and trash at one location, a combined cabinet saves wall space and centralizes service. Compare those on the paper towel with waste and combination units pages, or pair a standalone receptacle with ASI paper towel dispensers.

Maintenance

Consider liner size, whether the container is removable, and how the door or top opens. Foot pedal and swing top lids keep contents covered; open tops speed disposal in busy areas. Replacement dual swing tops are listed for the 0834-T and 0839-T.
