ASI 0458-DX Semi-Recessed Waste Receptacle
The ASI 0458-DX is an 18-gallon semi-recessed waste receptacle for installations planned around a wall recess and a standard 8-1/4-inch projection. Its removable container locks into the cabinet for servicing.
Specifications and service
- 18-gallon (68-liter) capacity; overall dimensions are 17-1/4 inches wide by 30-1/2 inches high by 8 inches deep.
- Frame, cabinet, and receptacle are 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.
- The receptacle has hemmed edges and internal hooks for an optional reusable vinyl liner bag; model 25-PY is specified for the 18-gallon unit and supplied separately. Disposable bags may also be draped over the rim.
- A keyed tumbler lock retains the receptacle; the manufacturer specifies the lock as keyed alike to other ASI washroom equipment.
- Empty the container manually as maintenance needs require.
Installation planning
Allow for a rough wall opening of 15-3/4 inches wide by 29 inches high by at least 4-1/4 inches deep. The unit mounts through concealed holes using #10 self-threading screws, supplied by others. The manufacturer lists an 8-1/4-inch standard projection.
