ASI 0458-CX Semi-Recessed Waste Receptacle
The ASI 0458-CX is a 12-gallon semi-recessed waste receptacle for installations with a wall cavity that can accommodate its recess. It projects 1/2 inch from the wall and has a removable, locking container for servicing.
Specifications and installation planning
- Capacity and construction: 12 gallons (46 liters). The frame, cabinet, and removable receptacle are 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish and hemmed edges.
- Dimensions: 17-1/4 inches wide by 30-1/2 inches high by 8 inches deep; standard projection is 1/2 inch, with a 7-1/2-inch recess.
- Wall opening: Rough wall opening required is 15-3/4 inches wide by 29 inches high by at least 7-3/4 inches deep. The top of the rough opening is 3/4 inch below the top of the unit.
- Bag options: Internal hooks hold an optional reusable vinyl bag, including the 12-gallon model 58-PY, supplied separately by others. Disposable bags by others may also be draped over the rim and held in place when the receptacle is locked into the cabinet.
- Removal and emptying: The keyed tumbler lock retains the container, which locks into the cabinet and can be removed for servicing. Empty manually according to maintenance needs.
Install in the wall recess using #10 self-threading screws through the concealed mounting holes; screws are by others. The manufacturer drawing gives a recommended mounting height of 43 inches above finished floor (40 inches at the centerline of the opening).
