ASI 9014-41 Horizontal Surface-Mounted Baby Changing Station
Made of FDA-approved, fungus- and bacteria-resistant HDPE plastic with a matte black finish, this station is designed for infants up to 3.5 years old and 50 lb (23 kg). Its shaped platform helps keep a child from rolling out of the bed. The adjustable, two-part vinyl-coated safety strap has a Sure-Lock latch that resists opening until released by opposing finger pressure from an adult caretaker or parent.
A damped gas spring aids one-handed opening and closing with less than 5 lb (22.2 N) of force, without tight grasping, pinching, or wrist twisting. A recessed handle cavity is provided on the door face. The integral bag hook and bed-liner dispenser can be converted to a multi-fold towel dispenser. The dispenser lid protects contents and facilitates loading of wipes or liners; liners or towels are replenished by service personnel.
Closed dimensions: 35-5/32" x 24-1/4" x 3-7/8" (893 x 616 x 98 mm). Open dimensions: 35-5/32" x 24-1/4" x 22-1/32" (893 x 616 x 560 mm).
Mounting and installation
Surface-mount through the recessed mounting holes using the supplied hardware. Supplied fasteners suit metal or wood stud walls in dry locations and hollow-wall construction where the substrate has adequate strength. Masonry fasteners and anchors are not provided; wall reinforcement must support the maximum unit loading. For the manufacturer's stated 2010 ADA installation guidance, install with the top edge of the changing table 30-1/4" (768 mm) above the finished floor.
