ASI 9017 Vertical Recessed Stainless Steel Baby Changing Station
The ASI 9017 is a vertically oriented, recessed-mounted baby changing station for infants up to 3½ years old and 50 lb (23 kg). Its door facing and flange trim are 20-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; the changing bed is FDA-approved, fungus- and bacteria-resistant plastic. The required rough wall opening is 24-1/2 in. W × 35-1/2 in. H × 4 in. D minimum (622 × 902 × 102 mm).

- Closed dimensions: 28-1/4 × 39-5/32 × 3/8 in. (718 × 994 × 10 mm). Open dimensions: 28-1/4 × 39-5/32 × 29-3/8 in. (718 × 994 × 746 mm).
- Damped gas spring supports one-handed opening and closing with less than 5 lb (22.2 N) of force, without tight grasping, pinching, or wrist twisting; a handle cavity is provided on the door face.
- Shaped platform designed to cradle the child; adjustable, two-part vinyl-coated safety strap with Sure-Lock latch.
- Integral dispenser for bed liners or towels converts to a multi-fold towel dispenser; includes one bag hook.
- Intended infant-use limit: up to 3½ years old and 50 lb (23 kg). The manufacturer reports development testing at a 250 lb (113 kg) static load with minimal deflection; this is not the infant-use limit.
Installation and replenishment
Use a properly framed rough opening with the specified minimum dimensions and depth. The supplied hardware is suitable for metal or wood studs in dry locations and general hollow-wall construction where adequate substrate strength is obtained. The wall reinforcement must support transfer of maximum unit loading; masonry fasteners and anchors are not supplied. Follow the installation instructions provided with the unit. Service personnel can replenish liners or towels as needed.
