ASI Soap Dishes for hotels and locker rooms

ASI (American Specialties) soap dishes hold bar soap in hotel bathrooms, locker room showers, and other commercial spaces. Choose recessed or surface mounted, with or without a grab bar, and in stainless steel or chrome plated Zamak. Recessed stainless models are offered in dry wall and wet wall versions, so it helps to know which wall the dish goes into before you order.

Recessed soap dishes

Recessed dishes sit nearly flush with the wall, so they're less likely to catch shoulders in a shower and they keep the wall face clean. They need an opening planned with the wall construction.

  • Dry wall – ASI 0400 soap dish and ASI 0398 soap dish with bar. The ASI 40 drywall mounting clamp is listed for use with models 0398 and 0400.
  • Wet wall – ASI 0401-W soap dish and ASI 0399-W soap dish with bar. Confirm the required wall construction and rough opening on the product specification.
  • Finish choice – ASI 7404 soap dish in bright (7404-B) or satin (7404-S), and ASI 7410 soap dish with bar.

A model "with bar" includes a bar on the dish. Don't count it as a code-required grab bar unless the product documentation says so. Plan ASI grab bars separately.

Surface-mounted soap dishes

  • Stainless steel – ASI 7320-B (bright) and 7320-S (satin) with drain holes, and the ASI 7322 satin stainless soap basket.
  • Chrome plated Zamak – ASI 0720-Z with drain holes and ASI 0721-Z for light-duty uses such as guest bathrooms.

Surface mounting is the simpler retrofit option because it doesn't require a wall opening. In showers, choose drain holes or the soap basket so water doesn't pool under the bar, which makes cleaning easier.
