ASI 140 Recessed Soap Dish, Chase Mount
The ASI 140 is a recessed, rear-mounted soap dish for chase-mount installation. Its one-piece drawn Type 304 stainless steel construction has a satin finish, beveled trim and raised embossments that allow drainage and help retain the soap.
Dimensions and construction
- Overall dimensions: 7-3/8 inches W x 6 inches H x 3 inches D.
- Material: 16-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.
- Soap surface: Embossed dimples provide air circulation and drainage; raised dimples also provide a gripping surface to retain soap.
- Rear mounting: Two T-nuts are welded to the back of the unit.
- Minimum rough wall opening: 6-1/2 inches W x 5 inches H x 2-3/4 inches D.
Wall preparation and placement
Check the wall cavity and rear access before specifying this chase-mount unit. Recess it through the required opening and secure it to the finished wall with the supplied washers and nuts.
ASI's placement guidance calls for the dish to be no higher than 48 inches AFF in showers, 36 inches AFF in bathtubs, 46 inches AFF where side reach over an obstruction is the only access, or 44 inches AFF where forward reach over a vanity basin is provided.
