ASI 130 Recessed Shelf, Chase Mount
The ASI 130 is a recessed chase-mount shelf with an 18-by-7-inch face and a 4-inch-deep interior. It is made from 16-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, with welded, ground-smooth corners and a 1-inch-wide beveled trim.
Specifications and installation
- Overall dimensions: 18 inches wide by 7 inches high by 4 inches deep.
- Minimum rough wall opening: 16-1/2 inches wide by 5-1/2 inches high.
- Four welded anchor nuts accept four supplied 8-inch threaded rods, cut to suit wall thickness; supplied locking washers and nuts secure the adjustment.
- Alternatively, back-plate holes and slots accept supplied 1/4-20 x 1-inch Phillips pan-head screws.
- Back plates are reversible for shallow or deep wall installation. Place the shelf through the wall opening and secure it to the finished wall by adjusting the supplied threaded rods to accommodate wall thickness.
- For the manufacturer’s guidance referencing the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, install with the shelf top no higher than 48 inches above the finished floor. For general utility, ASI suggests mounting at 42 inches above the finished floor or 18 inches above a wash basin.
