Drench Hose Units

Compare wall-, deck-, pedestal- and panel-mounted drench hoses from Guardian, Haws, Bradley and Chicago Faucets. Start with the required function—targeted body spray, eyewash/drench hose or eye/face-wash combination—then verify hose reach, storage, activation and mounting at the work area.

Choose the Right Drench Hose for the Exposure

A basic drench hose provides a directed spray for rinsing a specific area. An eyewash/drench-hose model adds outlet heads intended for eye flushing, while an eye/face-wash and body-spray assembly serves a broader application. Use the manufacturer’s designation for the exact model; hose reach alone does not determine which exposure it is designed to address.

Choose the Mounting Around the Workstation

  • Wall-mounted units keep the hose at a fixed response point and require a suitable wall, supply connection and reachable holder.
  • Deck-mounted units place the spray at a sink or counter; check counter thickness, hole location and hose clearance below the deck.
  • Panel-mounted units fit equipment or casework layouts where the valve and hose pass through a vertical surface; verify panel angle and service access.
  • Unmounted and retrofit kits offer more installation flexibility, but you must provide compatible mounting hardware and connections.

Hose and Valve Details Matter

Compare straight, coiled and recoil hoses by usable reach and how the hose returns to storage. A longer hose can cover more area but needs room to remain accessible without becoming a trip or snag hazard. Verify whether the valve stays open hands-free, how it is activated, and whether the selected spray head, dust covers and hose length match the intended location.

For a fixed eye-only fixture, compare Eyewash Stations; for full-body rinsing, review Emergency Showers.
