ASI 7801-24 Omara 24-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 7801-24 is a 24-inch, surface-mounted straight grab bar for installations calling for a 1-1/2-inch-OD bar. Its satin Type 304 stainless steel finish and screw-on flange covers—which conceal the mounting and retaining set screws—are key model features.
Specifications
- 24-inch length; 1-1/2-inch outside-diameter, 18-gauge tubing.

Mounting and installation
Provide appropriate wall backing and anchoring before finishing the wall. Use the bar as a template, pre-drill holes, and install each mounting plate with three 1/4-inch (M6) screws per flange into suitable blocking; screws are supplied by others. Waterproof screw holes in wet-wall installations. Place the post sockets over the mounting plate posts, tighten the three set screws in each post with a ball-end 2.5 mm hex key, then thread the flange covers onto the flanges and tighten them against the wall.
ASI states its grab bars are designed to meet and exceed the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards and ANSI A117.1, with fabricated product strength in excess of 250 pounds. The wall mounting system and fasteners must be appropriately sized for the loads; the wall attachment is critical to system performance. For the manufacturer’s 2010 ADA installation guidance, position the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. This guidance is not a blanket guarantee of installation compliance.
Care and warranty
Clean regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then wipe with a clean water-moistened cloth and dry. Protect the stainless steel from muriatic acid, caustic or abrasive materials, and harsh detergents outside the manufacturer’s stated pH range. ASI lists a one-year warranty from the invoice date.
