ASI 64696A-9 Simplicity Surface-Mounted Automatic Roll Paper Towel Dispenser and Waste Receptacle
The ASI 64696A-9 is a surface-mounted, battery-operated, proximity-sensing towel dispenser with a 9.9-gallon waste receptacle. Its -9 collar is provided, so this configuration mounts on the wall rather than in a recessed opening.
Capacity and operating specifications
- Holds one standard roll up to 8 in. diameter × 8 in. wide and 800 ft. long, plus one 8-in.-wide stub roll up to 4 in. diameter.
- Automatically changes from the stub roll to the main roll when the stub is depleted, provided the feed tabs are properly engaged.
- Waste receptacle capacity: 9.9 gallons (37.3 L).
- Cabinet: 20-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; surface-mounted with the provided stainless steel -9 collar.
- Overall dimensions: 16-1/16 in. W × 41-1/4 in. H × 10-1/4 in. D. Power: four D-size batteries, not supplied.
- Each sensor activation dispenses the owner-selected towel length; length, delay, and paper-saver settings are adjustable. An LED indicates sensing and battery condition.
Installation and servicing
Mount to the wall through the concealed mounting holes using #10 self-threading screws, supplied by others. The manufacturer’s installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies a maximum height of 48 in. above the finished floor to the top edge of the towel dispenser opening. Refill by unlocking the door and replacing the roll; maintenance also includes replacing batteries and emptying the waste receptacle as needed.
