ASI 64696A-6 Battery-Operated Towel Dispenser and Waste Receptacle
This semi-recessed, proximity-sensing unit dispenses towels without touch and includes a 9.9-gallon (37.3 L) waste receptacle. The cabinet is Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. It holds one standard roll up to 8" diameter x 8" wide and 800 ft. long, plus one 8"-wide stub roll up to 4" diameter. When the feed tabs are properly engaged, the unit automatically changes over to the main roll when the stub roll is depleted.
The dispenser is powered by four D-size batteries, which are not supplied. At each activation, it feeds a towel length selected using the length, delay, and paper-saver switches. An LED indicates sensing and battery condition.
Installation and servicing
- Allow a rough wall opening of 15" W x 40-1/4" H x 4" D. The provided semi-recessing collar is installed on the cabinet before mounting.
- Mount with #10 self-threading screws, supplied by others. The manufacturer’s stated 2010 ADA guidance specifies that the top edge of the towel dispenser opening be no higher than 48" above the finished floor.
- Refill by unlocking the door and replacing the towel roll. Maintenance also includes replacing batteries and emptying the waste receptacle as needed.
