ASI 645210AC-00 Piatto Completely Recessed Automatic Roll Paper Towel Dispenser
The ASI 645210AC-00 is an AC-powered Piatto roll towel dispenser with a white phenolic door, designed to sit completely recessed and flush with the finished wall. It holds an 8-inch-diameter, 8-inch-wide roll up to 800 feet long and an 8-inch-wide stub roll up to 4 inches in diameter. When the stub roll’s feed tabs are properly engaged, the dispenser changes to the main roll when the stub roll is used up.
Configuration and operation
- White phenolic door on a Type 304 stainless steel frame; the manufacturer specifies Type 304 stainless steel for metal parts and concealed hardware.
- Furniture-style hinges are field adjustable, and an internal spring-loaded latch secures the door.
- Proximity sensing dispenses one owner-selected towel length per activation. Three-position switches adjust length, delay and paper saver.
- Uses a supplied AC plug-in adapter with 110–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input. The manufacturer specifies a 15A-protected circuit and code-approved cable or conduit, provided by others.
To refill, open the door and replace an empty or partially used roll. When loading a full roll while a partial roll remains, move the partial roll to the stub-roll position and engage the feed tabs for automatic changeover. The manufacturer specifies manual replenishment according to maintenance needs.
Recess and installation requirements
Overall dimensions are 16-1/16" W x 28" H x 9-13/16" D (408 x 711 x 248 mm). The minimum finished wall opening is 16-1/8" W x 28-1/16" H x 10" D (410 x 713 x 254 mm). Mount the unit in the recess with its face flush to the wall, using four self-tapping pan-head screws by others through the concealed shim-less adjustable mounting tabs. The manufacturer specifies a utility simplex outlet box inside the cabinet; the code-approved cable or conduit enters at one of the four locations shown in its installation diagram. The supplied adapter plugs into the dispenser and then into a duplex outlet by others.
For installation guidance, the manufacturer specifies a maximum towel outlet height of 48" (1219 mm) above the finished floor for the cited 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards. For general utility, it recommends mounting the bottom of the unit 47-3/8" (1203 mm) above the finished floor.
