ASI 3802-54P 54-Inch Grab Bar with Intermediate Support
This 54-inch straight grab bar has a 1-1/2-inch outside diameter, a peened surface, and an intermediate support. The Type 304 stainless steel tubing is 18 gauge; the mounting flange is 1/8 inch thick. Satin-finish, 22-gauge stainless steel covers snap over the flange dimples to conceal the mounting screws. Each cover is 3-3/16 inches in diameter; the concealed flange is 3-1/8 inches in diameter and has two screw holes and three locking dimples.
Installation requirements
Mounting fasteners are by others. ASI specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers per flange, or another fastener system suited to the mounting conditions. Appropriate anchoring and backing must be provided before wall finishing. ASI's installation guidance for its stated 2010 ADA placement is a top-of-bar height of 33 to 36 inches above finished floor; confirm project requirements for the installation.
