ASI 3702-54 54-Inch Straight Grab Bar with Intermediate Support
This smooth 1-1/4-inch O.D. Type 304 stainless steel grab bar has 18-gauge tubing, a satin finish, and a snap-flange design. Its 3-1/8-inch-diameter concealed mounting flanges are 1/8 inch thick, with two screw holes and three locking dimples. The 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel covers measure 3-3/16 inches in diameter and snap over the dimples to conceal the mounting screws.
Mounting screws and washers are by others. ASI specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another suitable fastener system, at each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before finishing the wall. ASI's installation guidance for the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies positioning the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor.
