ASI 3702-48 48-Inch Straight Grab Bar with Intermediate Support
This 48-inch grab bar has a smooth 1-1/4-inch O.D. type 304 stainless steel bar with an intermediate support. Its concealed mounting flanges are 1/8 inch thick, 3-1/8 inches in diameter, and have two screw holes and three locking dimples. The 22-gauge type 304 satin-finish covers are 3-3/16 inches in diameter and snap over the dimples to conceal the screws.
Installation notes
Mounting fasteners are not included. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another fastener system suited to each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall. Manufacturer guidance for installation under the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor.
