ASI 3801-48 48-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-48 is a 48-inch straight grab bar for wall-mounted applications where a 1-1/2-inch outside-diameter bar and concealed flange mounting are specified. Its snap-on covers conceal the mounting screws.
Specifications
- Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; manufacturer specifies 18-gauge tubing.
- Bar length: 48 inches; outside diameter: 1-1/2 inches.
- Concealed flange: 3-1/8 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, with two screw holes.
- Snap-on cover: Type 304 stainless steel, 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter; it engages the flange dimples.
Installation planning
Use the bar to mark and pre-drill mounting locations. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers by others, or another fastener system suited to conditions at each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before wall finishing. Anchors are available from ASI but must be specified separately.
