ASI 3801-30 30-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-30 is a 30-inch straight grab bar with a 1-1/2-inch outside diameter and concealed snap-on flange covers. It is made of Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.
Specifications
- Tubing: 18 gauge (0.048 inch).
- Flange: 1/8 inch thick, welded to the tubing with a continuous concealed bead.
- Snap-on cover: 22 gauge.
Installation guidance
Plan wall backing and suitable anchoring before finishing the wall. ASI guidance calls for two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers at each flange, or another fastener system suited to the conditions; fasteners are by others. Anchors are available from ASI but must be specified separately. For installation under the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, ASI specifies a bar-top height of 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. Appropriate anchoring and installation conditions are essential to the mounting system.
