ASI 3801-30P 30-Inch Peened Straight Grab Bar
This 30-inch grab bar has 1-1/2-inch O.D. Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish. The -P suffix denotes ASI's optional peened, non-slip surface. Snap-on Type 304 stainless steel covers conceal the mounting flanges and screws. The flange is 3-1/8 inches in diameter, 1/8 inch thick, and has two screw holes and three locking dimples; the 22-gauge cover is 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
Mounting considerations
Mounting screws, fasteners, and suitable wall backing are not included. ASI specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another fastener system suited to each flange and wall condition. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before wall finishing. ASI's installation guidance places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor for its stated 2010 ADA guidance; placement alone does not determine accessibility or performance.
