ASI 3801-18 Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-18 is an 18-inch straight grab bar with a 1-1/2-inch outside diameter. Its smooth satin-finish surface and snap-on flange covers provide a finished appearance with concealed mounting hardware.
Construction
- 18-inch straight configuration with 1-1/2-inch outside-diameter tubing
- 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish
- 22-gauge snap-on flange covers conceal mounting hardware
- 1/8-inch-thick welded mounting flanges
- Smooth gripping surface
Installation Requirements
Grab-bar performance depends on appropriate wall backing, anchors, and fasteners for the installation conditions. Anchors and mounting hardware are not included. Backing should be planned before wall finishing and must comply with the project requirements and local code. The manufacturer’s 2010 ADA guidance places the top of the grab bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor.
