ASI 3802-48P 48-Inch Straight Grab Bar with Intermediate Support
The ASI 3802-48P is a 48-inch straight grab bar with intermediate support and 1-1/2-inch-diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless-steel tubing. The “P” suffix identifies ASI’s optional peened, non-slip surface. Its snap-on flange covers provide concealed mounting; exposed surfaces have a satin finish.

- End flanges have two 5/16-inch mounting holes; center posts have two keyhole slots.
Installation guidance
Use the grab bar as a template to mark and pre-drill mounting locations. Mounting screws and flat washers are by others. ASI specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers per flange, or another fastener system suited to conditions at each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before wall finishing; anchors are available from ASI and must be specified separately. ASI’s 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards guidance places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor; installation requirements depend on the complete site and applicable standards.
