ASI 3801-42P 42-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-42P is a 42-inch straight grab bar for installations requiring a 1-1/2-inch outside-diameter peened stainless steel bar. Its snap-on flange covers conceal the mounting screws, while the peened surface is the model’s non-slip surface option.

- Tube: 1-1/2-inch outside diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel.
- Surface: peened bar; exposed surfaces have a satin finish.
- Concealed flange: 1/8-inch-thick Type 304 stainless steel, 3-1/8-inch outside diameter, with two screw holes and three locking dimples.
- Snap-on covers: 22-gauge stainless steel, 3-3/16 inches in diameter, satin finish.
Mounting requirements
Use the bar as a template to mark and pre-drill mounting holes. The manufacturer specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another suitable fastener system; fasteners are by others. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall, based on site conditions and applicable requirements. Anchors are available from ASI and must be specified separately.
