ASI 3801-42P-41 Matte Black Straight Grab Bar, 42 Inch
This 42-inch surface-mounted straight grab bar has 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a 1-1/2-inch outside diameter and a textured surface. The matte black powder-coated finish is also used on the 22-gauge stainless steel snap-on cover. The cover engages three locking dimples on the 3-1/8-inch-diameter, 1/8-inch-thick stainless steel flange to conceal the mounting screws; each flange has two screw holes.
Installation and care
Use the bar to mark the mounting locations. Install with two #10 self-threading flat-head or oval-head screws per flange, or another fastener system suited to site conditions; fasteners are by others. Appropriate anchoring and wall backing must be in place before wall finishing. The manufacturer provides mounting-height guidance for accessibility; confirm applicable local requirements and installation conditions.
For the matte black finish, clean accessible surfaces with mild liquid soap, then wipe and dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners and pads, toilet or tile cleaners, and solutions containing acids, lye, enzymes, or more than 1% ammonia.
