ASI 3801-36P-41 36-Inch Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-36P-41 is a 36-inch, surface-mounted matte black grab bar for restroom installations. Its peened texture is intended to make the 1-1/2-inch-OD grip easier to hold, and a snap-on cover conceals the mounting screws.

- 36-inch length; 1-1/2-inch outside-diameter, 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing.
- Peened texture and matte black powder-coated finish.
- Type 304 stainless steel mounting flange: 3-1/8 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, with two mounting holes and three locking dimples.
- Snap-on Type 304 stainless steel cover: 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
Installation and care
Provide appropriate wall backing and anchoring for site conditions before wall finishing. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-threading flat- or oval-head screws, or another suitable fastening system; screws are by others, and ASI anchors must be specified separately. ASI's 2010 ADA installation guidance places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. This is manufacturer guidance, not a guarantee of compliance for a particular installation.
Clean accessible surfaces with mild liquid soap, then wipe and dry. Do not use abrasive pads or powders, toilet or tile cleaners, ammonia solutions above 1%, acids, lye, or enzyme-containing solutions.
