ASI 3701-36 Straight Grab Bar
The ASI 3701-36 is a 36-inch straight grab bar with a 1-1/4-inch outside diameter. Its smooth satin-finish surface and snap-on flange covers provide a clean appearance while concealing the mounting fasteners.
Construction
- 36-inch straight configuration with 1-1/4-inch outside-diameter tubing
- 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish
- 22-gauge snap-on flange covers conceal mounting hardware
- 1/8-inch-thick welded mounting flanges
- Smooth gripping surface
Installation Requirements
Proper wall backing and an appropriately sized fastener system are critical to grab-bar performance. Anchors and mounting hardware are not included and must be selected for the wall construction and applicable local code. The manufacturer’s 2010 ADA guidance places the top of the grab bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor.
