ASI 3701-12P 12-Inch Peened Snap-Flange Grab Bar
This 12-inch straight grab bar has a 1-1/4-inch outside diameter Type 304 stainless steel bar with a peened, non-slip surface. Snap-on covers conceal the mounting flanges and screws; the Type 304 stainless steel covers have a satin finish. Each 1/8-inch-thick flange is 3-1/8 inches in diameter, with two mounting holes and three locking dimples. The covers are 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
Installation planning
ASI specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers per flange, or another suitable fastening system; fasteners are by others. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall. ASI's guidance for installations intended to comply with the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor; compliance depends on the complete installation and its anchorage.
