ASI 3501-24P 24-Inch Peened Straight Grab Bar with Exposed Flanges
The ASI 3501-24P is a 24-inch straight grab bar for installations that call for exposed mounting flanges and a peened surface. It uses 1-1/2-inch-diameter Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish.
Specifications

- Exposed flanges: 3 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, with three countersunk mounting holes per flange.
- Mounting screws are not included. The manufacturer specifies #10 self-tapping flat-head or oval-head screws, or another suitable fastener system.
Installation planning
Provide suitable fasteners, anchoring, and wall backing for the installation conditions before finishing the wall; the manufacturer notes that wall mounting is critical to the grab bar system. For manufacturer guidance on installation under the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, position the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor.
