ASI 3501-12P 12-Inch Peened Grab Bar
This 12-inch straight grab bar has 1-1/2-inch-diameter Type 304 stainless steel tubing with a satin finish and peened surface. The 3-inch-diameter exposed flanges are 1/8 inch thick and have three countersunk mounting holes per flange.
Mounting screws and anchors are not included. Provide suitable backing and an anchoring system for the wall conditions before finishing the wall; the manufacturer notes that the mounting system is critical to grab-bar strength. For the manufacturer’s 2010 ADA installation guidance, position the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. This guidance does not by itself establish that an installation is compliant.
