ASI 3414-P Peened Swing-Up Grab Bar
The ASI 3414-P is a swing-up grab bar with a peened, non-slip surface for exposed mounting. Its 3-in. flange is distinct from the 1-1/4-in. diameter grab-bar tubing.

- Type 304 stainless steel; the ASI 3400 Series specification describes exposed surfaces as satin finish.
- The “-P” option denotes a peened surface, which ASI identifies as the non-slip option.
- Grab-bar tubing: 1-1/4-in. diameter, 18 gauge.
- Flange: 3-in. diameter and 1/8-in. thick, with three countersunk mounting holes per flange.
- Mounting screws are not provided; the holes accommodate #10 self-tapping flat-head or oval-head screws, or 1/4-in. pan-head screws.
Plan wall support before installation
ASI’s series guidance calls for appropriate anchoring and backing for the wall conditions, provided before the wall is finished. Select fasteners and backing to suit the installation; the mounting system is important to grab-bar performance. ASI’s installation guidance specifies positioning the top of the bar 33–36 in. above the finished floor for its stated ADA installation guidance; this is not a standalone compliance guarantee.
