ASI 0487-L Recessed Toilet Tissue, Seat Cover and Waste Dispenser
The ASI 0487-L is a recessed combination dispenser for toilet compartments, holding two standard toilet tissue rolls and 500 seat covers, with a removable 0.45-gal. (1.7 L) sanitary napkin waste container. Its components are on the opposite side from model 0487-R.
Capacity, construction and dimensions
- Capacity: two standard toilet tissue rolls, 500 toilet seat covers and 0.45 gal. (1.7 L) of waste.
- Construction: Type 304 stainless steel with satin finish; the service door is 18 gauge, while the face frame and cabinet are 22 gauge.
- The service door has a full-length 3/16-inch multi-staked piano hinge and tumbler lock; toilet tissue rollers are vandal resistant.
- Overall dimensions: 28" W x 4-1/4" D x 14-1/4" H. Minimum rough wall opening: 26-1/2" W x 12-7/8" H x 4-1/4" D.
Installation and fit
Mount the unit in the wall recess through its concealed mounting holes using four #10 self-threading screws (by others). The top of the rough wall opening is 1-1/16" below the top of the unit. For the manufacturer's stated accessibility installation guidance, locate the toilet paper dispenser centerline 7"–9" from the front of the toilet, with its opening bottom at least 15" above finished floor; the seat cover opening centerline should be no higher than 48" above finished floor. The manufacturer describes the unit as meeting accessibility requirements when properly mounted; confirm applicable requirements and site conditions during installation. Position the rough opening so the frame top is at least 1-1/2" below the bottom of the specified side-wall grab bar.
Restocking and waste service
Unlock and open the service door to replenish toilet paper rolls and seat covers and empty the removable waste container. Seat covers feed until depleted; tissue rolls feed freely, with the supply visible as a low-level warning. Push the self-closing disposal door to deposit waste. The locked service door helps prevent inadvertent dumping and unauthorized removal.
