ASI 0199-1-00 TURBO ADA Surface-Mounted High-Speed Hand Dryer
The ASI 0199-1-00 is the white, surface-mounted 110–120 VAC version of the TURBO ADA infrared hand dryer. It provides adjustable air speed and temperature, an on/off heater option, and drying in less than 15 seconds. The selected 0199-1 model is distinct from the 208–240 VAC 0199-2 and 277 VAC 0199-3 variants.
Specifications and operation
- Finish and construction: white porcelain enamel on 18-gauge steel.
- Dimensions: 10-5/8 × 8-15/32 × 4 inches (270 × 215 × 102 mm); surface-mounted.
- Electrical for model 0199-1: 110–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 10.4 A maximum, 1,000 W maximum.
- Airflow: 63.6 CFM (108 m³/h). The 0.67 HP brush-type motor has dual ball bearings and adjustable speed.
- The heater uses a nichrome-wire element with an auto-reset circuit breaker. For the 110–120 V model, the heater is owner-selectable on or off; air speed and temperature are adjustable.
- Infrared no-touch activation; the dryer shuts off when hands leave the sensor zone and has a 60-second automatic shut-off. Drying time is less than 15 seconds.
- Manufacturer-listed sound pressure: 68.9 dB-A minimum to 74.3 dB-A maximum at 2 m. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty from invoice date.
Installation and upkeep
ASI specifies surface mounting with four 1/4-inch washers and screws or bolts supplied with the unit; wall mounting points or other suitable hardware must suit the wall conditions. Electrical service is connected before the cover is installed. The operating manual says installation should be performed by a qualified electrician and the unit must be grounded.
ASI’s installation guidance gives a maximum sensor-lens height of 48 inches above finished floor for unobstructed reach, or 44 inches where the stated forward-reach obstruction conditions apply. Confirm the applicable requirements for the installation. For cleaning, disconnect power, remove lint from inside, then wipe the cover with a damp cloth and mild cleaning solution. Do not soak the unit or use abrasives.
