ASI 0199-1-41 TURBO ADA Surface-Mounted High-Speed Hand Dryer, 115-120V

The ASI 0199-1-41 is a touch-free, surface-mounted hand dryer for a 115-120V supply. Its matte-black powder-coated steel construction is 4 inches deep, and ASI specifies drying in less than 15 seconds, with owner-adjustable air speed and temperature.

Specifications and operation

• Electrical: 115-120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 1.0 kW maximum; 10.4 A maximum.
• Motor: 0.67 HP, adjustable 16,000–29,000 rpm, brush type with dual ball bearings.
• Dimensions: 10-5/8" x 8-15/32" x 4" (270 x 215 x 102 mm); construction: 18-gauge steel with matte-black powder-coated finish.
• Automatic infrared sensing starts the dryer when hands enter the sensing zone. It shuts off when hands are removed and has a 60-second automatic time-out; the motor and heating element have auto-resetting thermal protection.
• Owner-adjustable air speed and temperature; the heater can be switched on or off. ASI specifies under-15-second drying and a sound level of 68.9 dB-A minimum to 74.3 dB-A maximum at 2 m.
• Drip-proof design rated IP24. ASI specifies a five-year warranty from invoice date.

Installation and placement

ASI instructs that electrical service be connected before the cover is installed and that installation be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable local wiring regulations. The unit mounts through four holes to suitable prepared mountings. For manufacturer guidance referencing the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, position the bottom of the sensor lens no higher than 48" above finished floor where unobstructed reach is provided, or 44" where forward reach over an obstruction with a reach depth greater than 20" and less than 25" is the only approach.
