Recessed installation
Allow a minimum rough wall opening of 12-1/4 in. W × 15-3/16 in. H × 5-1/4 in. D and provide a clear air-intake channel above the unit; the channel and suitable wall mounting hardware are by others. Electrical service and connection are also by others and must be provided at the rough-in location before the cover is installed. When installing multiple dryers, leave at least 24 in. center-to-center.
For the manufacturer's accessibility guidance, install with the top of the dryer hand chamber no higher than 48 in. above finished floor (AFF) when clear-floor reach is provided; 46 in. AFF when side reach over an obstruction with a reach depth greater than 10 in. and less than 25 in. is the only reach; or 44 in. AFF when forward reach over an obstruction with a reach depth greater than 20 in. and less than 25 in. is the only reach. For general utility, the manufacturer gives a 44–50 in. AFF range. Check applicable local requirements when setting the installation height.
