ASI 0198-MH-2 SAFE-Dri™ Recessed High-Speed Hand Dryer, 208-240V
Designed for behavioral health environments, this anti-ligature dryer has an angled top, welded corners and a single-tube exhaust intended to prevent looping, tying off, wedging and prying. The tamper-resistant cover is 18-gauge stainless steel, secured with flush pin-hex security screws.
Users start the dryer by placing their hands under the sensor. A blue LED guides hand placement during operation; the dryer has an automatic 60-second shut-off, and the specified drying time is less than 15 seconds.
Recessed installation and utilities
- Plan for a rough wall opening 12-1/4" W x 15-3/16" H, with at least 5-1/4" depth and a clear air-intake channel above the unit.
- Provide 208-240V electrical service at the location shown in the installation diagram. Electrical service and connection are by others and must be completed before the cover is installed.
- Mounting screws or other suitable hardware are not supplied. Allow for the wall conditions and provide suitable mountings.
- For two or more dryers, install them at least 24" on center.
