ASI 0135-1 TURBO-Tuff Fully Recessed Hand Dryer
The ASI 0135-1 is a fully recessed, automatic hand dryer for 110–120V service. Its infrared sensor starts the dryer when hands are placed in the chamber; an auto-resetting thermostat and automatic shutoff operate as described by the manufacturer. The dryer shuts off after its time-out or when hands leave the sensing zone. The manufacturer specifies drying in less than 15 seconds, owner-adjustable air speed and temperature, and an on/off heat option. The cover is Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.
Installation and electrical planning
Allow for a minimum rough wall opening of 12-5/16 inches wide x 15-3/16 inches high x 3-7/8 inches deep. The 110–120VAC, 50/60Hz service is 10.4A maximum (1,000W) and is provided and connected by others before the cover is installed. The cabinet mounts with four #10 screws or other suitable hardware, not supplied, selected for the wall conditions.
For accessibility, follow the manufacturer’s installation guidance for the applicable reach condition: the top of the hand chamber is limited to 48 inches above finished floor with clear forward or side reach, 46 inches for side reach over the specified obstruction, or 44 inches for forward reach over the specified obstruction. For general utility, the manufacturer gives a 44-to-50-inch top-of-chamber range. Keep multiple dryers at least 24 inches apart on center.
Operation and maintenance
Air speed and temperature are adjustable by the owner. The hand-drying chamber should be cleaned on a schedule based on maintenance needs. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty from the invoice date.
