ASI 8203-20 Compact Folding Shower Seat, Solid Phenolic
The ASI 8203-20 is a surface-mounted, ADA-compliant folding shower seat with a 20-inch-wide solid phenolic seat. The slotted seat folds up when not in use. A guide bracket with spring detent controls lowering and supports the seat in its use and storage positions.
Specifications and operation
- One-piece solid phenolic seat, 5/16 inch thick, with semi-gloss white laminate on the top and bottom, black edges, and three drainage slots.
- Seat measures 20 inches wide by 14-1/2 inches deep. The 14-1/2-inch measurement is the seat depth, not its projection from the wall.
- Frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket are satin-finished Type 304 stainless steel.
- One-hand operation manually lowers the seat to horizontal for use or raises it for departure and arrival.
- Manufacturer states the seat supports loads up to 500 lb when properly installed.
Installation
Install as a surface-mounted unit. Provide concealed anchor plate or blocking before wall finishing, then fasten the flanges and guide bracket to it with appropriate hardware. Concealed mounting plates or anchors and mounting hardware are not supplied. Confirm the mounting configuration complies with local building codes.
