ASI 7410-SD Recessed Soap Dish with Bar
The ASI 7410-SD is the satin-finish, recessed soap dish with drywall mounting holes. Its one-piece 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel construction includes a bar permanently held between two posts at the top of the unit, and a raised lip helps keep soap from slipping out.
Dimensions and model options
- Overall dimensions: 6-5/16 inches wide by 6-1/4 inches high by 3 inches deep.
- Required rough wall opening: 5-1/2 inches wide by 5-1/2 inches high by 2 inches deep; confirm the opening dimensions before ordering.
- The SD suffix identifies satin finish with drywall holes. The related 7410-SW option has wet-wall lugs; wet-wall recessed mounting uses grout.
Installation guidance
For general utility placement, the manufacturer recommends setting the top of the soap shelf 52 inches above finished floor or 6 inches above the vanity basin. For standard drywall mounting, use two No. 10 stainless steel Phillips flat- or oval-head self-tapping or wood screws (by others), long enough to penetrate blocking behind the opening by approximately 1/2 inch. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant (by others) behind the flange and under the screw heads. A separate Model 39 drywall clamp is an optional mounting method.
