ASI 6468-50 Simplicity Recessed Dual Napkin and Tampon Vendor
The ASI 6468-50 is a recessed dual vendor for facilities using 50¢ operation. It holds up to 30 feminine napkins and 27 tampons, with independently operated dispensers; the 50¢ vend setting distinguishes it from the 6468-25 and free-operation 6468-F models.
Capacity, construction, and fit
- Capacity: 30 boxed napkins and 27 cylindrical, cardboard-packaged tampons. The manufacturer lists napkin boxes measuring 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/8" and tampon tubes measuring 3/4" diameter x 5-1/4".
- Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish; unit dimensions are 17-1/4" W x 27-1/4" H x 4-1/2" D.
- Minimum rough wall opening: 16" W x 26" H. The manufacturer's sheet gives conflicting rough-opening depth information; confirm the required depth before preparing the recess.
- The door has two tumbler locks, and the coin box has a separately keyed lock. An indicator displays an empty condition and blocks the coin slot when product is depleted.
The napkin and tampon dispensers operate independently: deposit the specified coin and actuate the selected dispenser to release product into the vending opening. Replenish by unlocking and opening the door, then manually reloading the supply tracks. Track weights must be used for positive feed.
Recessed installation
Mount in the wall recess with four #10 self-threading screws, supplied by others. For maximum usability and alignment with its 2010 ADA accessibility guidance, the manufacturer recommends placing the coin slot 38" to 54" above the finished floor. This is manufacturer installation guidance, not a blanket compliance determination.
