ASI 0468-2-50 Semi-Recessed Dual Napkin and Tampon Vendor
The ASI 0468-2-50 is a 50-cent, semi-recessed dual sanitary napkin and tampon vendor. It holds 30 specified-size napkins and 27 specified-size tampons, and the two dispensers operate independently.
Capacity, construction, and operation
- Napkin capacity and fit: 30 single, cardboard-boxed napkins with a semigloss finish, measuring 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/8". Listed fits are Stayfree #4; Guards #247 or #147; Kotex #704, #707, #07010, #07040, #07045, #07300 or #07320; Pure-Nat #M-4; and Modess #4.
- Tampon capacity and fit: 27 tampons in cylindrical cardboard packages with semigloss finish and crimped ends, measuring 3/4" in diameter x 5-1/4" long. Listed fits are Tampax and Modess Tampons.
- Coin setting: This -50 model allows 50-cent operation. The universal coin mechanism supports 25-cent, 50-cent, or free operation; the corresponding model suffixes are -25, -50, and -F. Dispensing mechanisms are fastener-mounted internally so the denomination can be changed.
- Dispensing: Napkin and tampon dispensers operate independently; after actuation, the selected product drops into the vending opening. An empty indicator displays depletion and blocks the coin slot.
- Material and security: 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, alloy 18-8, with a satin finish. Two tumbler locks secure the door; the internal coin box is keyed differently from the door locks.
- Overall size: 17-1/4" W x 27-1/4" H x 6-1/2" D. The supplied 2" collar converts the unit for semi-recessed mounting.
Installation and servicing
Plan for a minimum rough wall opening of 16" W x 26" H x 4" D. Mount with #10 self-threading screws, supplied by others. The manufacturer recommends placing the coin slot 38" to 54" above the finished floor for maximum usability and guidance related to the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards; this is manufacturer installation guidance, not a blanket compliance determination. Install the SR collar on the cabinet before placing it in the recess. Refill by opening the door and manually reloading the supply tracks as needed; use the supplied track weights for positive feed. The manufacturer lists a one-year warranty from the invoice date.
