ASI 3860 Horizontal Grab Bar, 30" x 18"
This smooth 1-1/2" O.D. horizontal grab bar has a 30" x 18" configuration and Type 304 stainless steel construction with 18-gauge tubing. The 1/8"-thick concealed mounting flange has a 3-1/8" outside diameter, two screw holes and three locking dimples. A 22-gauge Type 304 satin-finish cover, 3-3/16" in diameter, snaps over the flange to conceal the mounting screws.
Mounting and placement
Fasteners are not included. ASI specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another fastener system suited to the installation, at each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing. ASI's installation guidance for compliance with the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards calls for the top of the bar to be 33"–36" above the finished floor; confirm project requirements and local codes.
