ASI 3760 Horizontal Grab Bar, 30" x 18"
This smooth grab bar has a 1-1/4" O.D., 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tube. Its concealed mounting flange is 1/8" thick and 3-1/8" O.D., with two screw holes and three locking dimples. The 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel snap-on cover measures 3-3/16" in diameter, has a satin finish, and conceals the mounting screws.
Installation considerations
Mounting fasteners and appropriate anchoring and wall backing must be provided for the installation. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another suitable fastener system, for each flange; provide backing and anchoring before wall finishing. For installation guidance related to the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, the top of the bar is installed 33" to 36" above the finished floor. Wall mounting is critical to the installed system's performance.
