ASI 3804-RP Right-Hand Peened 90° Grab Bar, 16" x 32"
This right-hand, 90-degree grab bar has a 1-1/2" O.D., 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel tube with a peened surface. The concealed mounting flange is 1/8" thick and 3-1/8" O.D., with two screw holes and three locking dimples. The 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel snap-on cover conceals the screws; it measures 3-3/16" in diameter and has a satin finish. ASI identifies the -P peened option as a non-slip surface.
Installation considerations
Mounting fasteners and appropriate anchoring and wall backing must be provided for the installation. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another suitable fastener system, for each flange; provide backing and anchoring before wall finishing. Anchors are available from ASI and must be specified separately. For installation guidance related to the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, the top of the bar is installed 33" to 36" above the finished floor.
