ASI 3804-LP Left-Hand 90-Degree Angle Grab Bar, 16 x 32 Inches
This left-hand, 16 x 32-inch grab bar has a 1-1/2-inch-diameter, 18-gauge type 304 stainless steel tube with a peened surface. The 1/8-inch-thick type 304 stainless steel mounting flanges are welded to the tube and measure 3-1/8 inches in outside diameter. Each flange has two screw holes and three locking dimples. The 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel snap-on cover has a satin finish and a 3-3/16-inch outside diameter; it snaps over the flange dimples to conceal the mounting screws.
Mounting requirements
Fasteners are by others. The manufacturer specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers for each flange, or another suitable fastener system. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall; the wall attachment is critical to grab-bar performance. The manufacturer’s installation guidance for 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards calls for the top of the bar to be 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor when installed for that purpose; this is installation guidance, not a blanket compliance guarantee.
