ASI 3801-42AW Germ Guard Antimicrobial Grab Bar
This 42-inch straight grab bar has a 1-1/2-inch-diameter stainless steel tube with a white antimicrobial powder coating containing silver ions. ASI states that the coating presents silver ions at the surface for the grab bar’s lifetime and maintains an effective kill rate exceeding 99.95% for bacteria, algae, fungus, mold, mildew and yeasts, verified by independent laboratory testing to JIS Z 2801 (ISO 22196:2007).
The snap-flange design has a 3-1/8-inch stainless steel flange with two mounting holes and three locking tabs. Its 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel cover has a satin finish, measures 3-3/16 inches in diameter, and snaps over the flange to conceal the mounting screws. ASI reports independent ASTM testing for salt-spray corrosion, cross-cut adhesion and impact peel.
