ASI 3801-24AW Germ Guard Antimicrobial Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-24AW is a 24-inch straight grab bar with a 1-1/2-inch-diameter Type 304 stainless steel bar and a white Germ Guard silver-ion powder coating. It is the 24-inch option in ASI’s 3801-AW straight-bar series; the white coating is the addition to standard 3800 Series construction.

- 24-inch length and 1-1/2-inch diameter; the bar is 1/8-inch-thick Type 304 stainless steel.
- The silver-ion-loaded coating presents silver ions at the surface for the life of the grab bar. The manufacturer states activity against bacteria, algae, fungus, mold, mildew, and yeasts, with an effective kill rate exceeding 99.95% based on independent testing to JIS Z 2801, corresponding to ISO 22196:2007.
- The manufacturer reports independent testing of coating durability for ASTM salt-spray corrosion and cross-cut adhesion and impact peel.
- Concealed mounting flanges are Type 304 stainless steel, 3-1/8 inches in outside diameter, with two screw holes and three locking dimples. Type 304 stainless steel snap covers conceal the mounting screws; the satin-finish covers are 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
