ASI 3801-36AW Germ Guard 36-Inch Grab Bar
The ASI 3801-36AW is a 36-inch straight stainless steel grab bar with a silver-ion antimicrobial white powder coating and concealed snap-flange mounting. It is the 36-inch version of ASI’s 1-1/2-inch-diameter 3800-AW straight-bar series.
Verified model details
- Bar: 1-1/2-inch-diameter stainless steel tubing; 36-inch center-to-center length.
- Finish: White powder coating with silver ions presented at the surface for the lifetime of the grab bar. ASI reports an effective kill rate exceeding 99.95% for bacteria, algae, fungus, mold, mildew and yeasts, verified by independent testing to JIS Z 2801 (corresponding to ISO 22196:2007).
- Coating durability: ASI reports independent testing for ASTM salt-spray corrosion, cross-cut adhesion and impact peel.
- Snap flange: Type 304 stainless steel, 3-1/8 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, with two mounting holes and three locking tabs/dimples. The cover snaps over the flange to conceal the screws.
- Cover: Type 304 stainless steel, satin finish, 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
ASI directs installers to the standard 3800 Series grab-bar installation instructions. The snap-on covers conceal the mounting screws after the flanges are secured.
