ASI 3704-L Left-Hand 90-Degree Angle Grab Bar, 16" x 32"
The ASI 3704-L is a left-hand 90-degree angle grab bar for installations requiring that orientation and a smooth satin-finish surface. The 1-1/4"-diameter Type 304 stainless-steel bar uses snap-on covers to conceal its mounting flanges and screws.
Product specifications
- Configuration: left-hand, 90-degree angle; 16" x 32".
- Bar: 1-1/4" O.D., 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel.
- Finish: satin on exposed surfaces.
- Flange: 3-1/8" O.D. and 1/8" thick, with two mounting holes and three locking dimples.
- Cover: 22-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, 3-3/16" in diameter; the satin-finish cover snaps over the dimples to conceal the screws.
Mounting and placement
Mounting screws and flat washers are by others. ASI specifies two #10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, or another fastener system suited to the conditions at each flange. Provide appropriate anchoring and backing before wall finishing; the fastener system must be adequately sized for the installation. ASI's installation guidance for 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies installing the bar top 33" to 36" above the finished floor. Anchors are available from ASI and must be specified separately.
