ASI 3701-12 Straight Grab Bar with Snap-On Flange Covers
The ASI 3701-12 is a 12-inch straight grab bar with concealed mounting. Snap-on covers conceal the flange fasteners. The bar is made of Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.

- 12-inch bar with 1-1/4-inch outside-diameter, 18-gauge (0.048 inch/1.2 mm) tubing.
- Type 304 stainless steel construction; the flange is 1/8 inch thick.
- Each end flange has two 5/16-inch mounting holes.
- The snap-on covers are 22 gauge and have a satin finish.
Installation guidance
Mounting screws, washers, and suitable anchoring or backing are not included. The manufacturer specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers, supplied by others, or another suitable fastener system for each flange. Use the bar as a template to mark and pre-drill the holes. Provide anchoring and backing suited to the wall before finishing, in accordance with local building codes or project plans. The manufacturer’s installation guidance referencing the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards specifies positioning the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor; this is guidance, not a blanket compliance determination.
