ASI 3701-24 24-Inch Snap-Flange Grab Bar
This 24-inch straight grab bar has a 1-1/4-inch outside diameter and a smooth Type 304 stainless steel bar with a satin finish. Its snap-on covers conceal the mounting flanges and screws. Each 1/8-inch-thick flange is 3-1/8 inches in diameter, with two mounting holes and three locking dimples; the Type 304 stainless steel cover is 22 gauge and 3-3/16 inches in diameter.
Installation planning
ASI specifies two No. 10 self-tapping pan-head screws and flat washers per flange, or another suitable fastening system; fasteners are by others. Provide appropriate anchoring and wall backing before finishing the wall. ASI's guidance for installations intended to comply with the 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards places the top of the bar 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor; compliance depends on the complete installation and its anchorage.
